In the Elizabethan play, “Hamlet”, attributed to William Shakespeare, Queen Gertrude complains about the insincerity of the actor playing the part of a queen that repeatedly promises not to remarry after the death of her husband saying “the lady doth protest too much, methinks.”
According to Wikipedia, “The phrase is used in everyday speech to indicate doubt of someone’s sincerity, especially regarding the truth of a strong denial.”
Christopher Mellon served as deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence in the Clinton and George W. Bush administrations. He also appeared at Tom Delonge’s To the Stars Academy’s Press Conference in October of 2017 as part of the rock star’s UFO disclosure team. In this important 2020 op ed piece in appearing on the American Legion’s web site titled “A Threat Unmet”, Mr. Mellon describes the truly incredible flight characteristics of UAPs encountered by Navy pilots. He states “Pearl Harbor and 9/11 are tragic examples of intelligence failures that could have been avoided. Our continuing inability to identify the radical aerospace vehicles violating our airspace is an ongoing intelligence failure.”
One must wonder how a high-ranking Defense Department intelligence official involved in disclosure efforts could not be aware of the information contained in historian Richard Dolan’s “UFOs and the National Security State,” Volume One and Two. The fact is that there is nothing new about the kinds of engagements that Mr. Mellon is apparently so concerned about. Such events have been occurring for over 7 decades. The way in which Chris Mellon complains about government inaction appears to be a weird form of amnesia, as if there is something new and terribly threatening about UFOs today. The truth is that flying saucers are an ancient phenomena, as well documented by Dr. Jacques Vallee and others.
Mr. Mellon’s apparent alarm, I suspect, is a political ploy that is being employed by former members of the to the Stars Academy (TTSA) and their allies in elite circles to push for more openness on this subject. In my judgment, they are hoping to create a general societal discussion of the flying saucers. This would produce tremendous opportunities with research money flowing in to openly study the phenomenon and to allow for the possibility of commercial engineering applications based on the secrets of the saucers.
