Oke Shannon, A Former Manager of Special Projects, Los Alamos National Lab is interviewed by Jay of Project Unity.

One of most intriguing parts of the interview was Mr. Shannon’s confirmation that he had a several hour discussion with Admiral Wilson about Dr. Eric Davis. According to Mr. Shannon the Admiral was reassured that the scientist was an “honorable man.” This clearly suggests that Admiral Wilson was convinced by Shannon that one of the most closely guarded secrets (the existence of back engineering project outside of the Pentagon’s control) could be entrusted to the brilliant then young scientist.

This point supports the veracity of Wilson documents as does the CSETI Directors’ decades old description of what happened to Wilson after he attempted to be “read into” the back engineering program. Both the CSETI Directors frequent past description of his meeting with Wilson and the leaked Wilson notes describe how the intelligence officer for the Joint Chiefs of Staff was rebuffed. It is safe to conclude with increasing certainty that when it comes to UFOs, the Executive Branch has sidelined its highest officers including the Joint Chiefs of Staff, in favor of military contractors. This insult to the military is likely a potent reason why Naval Intelligence has played a critical role in pushing for more openness on what are being called “UAPs.”

Another telling point was Mr. Shannon’s non-answer to the Jay of Project Unity’s reference to Pentagon insiders who for fundamentalist Christian theological reasons have attempted to block the military from releasing more information on flying saucers. This group goes by the popular designation “the Collins Elite.” Mr. Shannon from the outset of the interview placed his faith in the Christian Savior Jesus along with family as his primary motivations in life. Given Shannon’s negative assessment of “alien abduction reports” one is left with the impression that a possible member of the “Collin’s Elite” has been interviewed by a contact/disclosure activist. This is a remarkable achievement indeed and is a tribute to the political sophistication and congeniality of Project Unity’s producer.

In terms of the political struggle going on within both the UFO subculture and the larger society concerning the nature of humanity’s relationship with flying saucer intelligences, as a former contact worker, I would hope that a more upbeat perspective on contact will eventually emerge. Given the popularity of what has been called the “alien abduction scenario” it will be an uphill journey for those promoting a more balanced view of the contact drama unfolding around us.
