Preston Dennett provides a unique educational experience for his readers and YouTube channel viewers. Every week I watch his programs and have read several of his books with great interest. Preston’s accounts are full of human detail that makes them come alive. Preston and I collaborated on a UAP healing chapter in Rey Hernandez’ compendium “Beyond UFOs.” In addition, Preston published in 2019 “The Healing Power of UFOs: 300 True Accounts of People Healed by Extraterrestrials.” I recommend both of these titles.
The YouTube video linked above is especially important in my view. It shows the unconventional delayed ways in which “onboard” experiences are recalled either spontaneously or with the aid of hypnosis. In this show, Preston describes one case where there reportedly was no delay in recall and hypnosis was not employed. It is an account from Latin America in which a mother was removed from her neighborhood and returned miles away. Even in this case, however, there was a reported break in the continuity of her consciousness in that she suddenly found herself on board what she believed was an “OVNI”, Spanish for UFO.
As the late Dr. John Mack pointed out in his book “Abduction”, no one knows exactly what a Close Encounter of the Fourth Kind is. From over a half century of investigations it appears to be a high strangeness event involving both physical and psychic elements which clearly challenges a strictly physicalist/materialist definition of reality. The physical elements such as landing traces, as was present in one the cases in Preston’s video, are combined with apparent imposed memory blocks requiring hypnosis to trigger recall.
The astounding psychic abilities of UFO intelligences raises the possibility that in some “abductions” these anomalous experiences unfold in a powerful form of “virtual reality” that is convincingly physical. Thus these “abductions” might be recalled as if they were physical rather than their being primarily mental events. Thus, we are dealing with something far more complicated than the popular sci-fi stereotypical theme of marauding “extraterrestrials” physically removing hapless victims from familiar surroundings.
To truly understand what are called “Close Encounters of the Third and Fourth Kinds”, we will need a unified theory of paranormal phenomena. In this regard, I also recommend the pioneering work of my friend and publisher Rey Hernandez. His research shows that UFO encounters, OBEs, NDEs and other “paranormal” phenomena are related in that they all involve “manipulations of spacetime.” Rey calls these anomalous experiences the “Contact Modalities. His recently published multi-volume anthology titled, “A Greater Reality” is a detailed exploration of interconnectedness of these Contact Modalities.
Rey Hernandez’ monograph “the Mind of God” is an introduction to “A Greater Reality” and together both works serve as a challenge to physicalist/materialist conception of reality. If as Rey and other researchers assert, that Consciousness or “Mind” is primary and not mass/energy, then the traditional Western scientific paradigm for understanding reality will need to be revised.
