In 2021 James Iandoli gave me an opportunity to discuss my volunteer contact work in a series of in-depth interviews. From 1992 through 1997 I was a Working Group Coordinator for the CE-5 Initiative. During that time I also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Center for the Study of ET Intelligence.
In this first interview linked below, I describe my medical and social activist background during the 1960s into the 1990s when I joined CSETI, and how I had my first UFO sighting in Florida during a demonstration of the CE-5 contact protocols. Our Los Angeles based CE-5 Working Group was remarkable in that it had a United Airlines pilot, three physicians, a Ph.D. clinical psychologist and a young author by the name of Preston Dennett who has gone on to write over 25 books on UFOs and the paranormal.
I describe our 1993 CE-5 mission into the Volcanic Zone to the east of Mexico City, where Dr. Greer attracted a large triangular shaped UFO to our research site.

I enjoyed the podcast, it was nice to hear you speak, I have been READING your articles for some time. I left a comment on the video specifically about disclosure ( I will copy it here):
“I have been reading Dr. Joseph Burkes articles, and posts in the Contact Modalities group for some time, it was good to see and hear him speak LIVE today. My own perspective is that there is no disclosure in 3D, at the 3D level of consciousness, which is a planetary (not galactic-level) curriculum. Genuine disclosure happens 1) from the inside out ONLY, and 2) as one achieves a graduation status through the refinement process 3D invokes upon us (or in other words, through an improvement in the quality of our consciousness). It all breaks down into the decisions we make while incarnate. The control system is in place to ensure 3D stays 3D, to ensure the 3rd grade classroom stays what it is. It is the individual who graduates, not the grade (not “the world”). This is where those of us who do, mis-step. By trying to bring disclosure to the world, the 3rd grade class and 3rd graders. This is more apt to set one back and distract them from the true task at hand. There are two main paths, the one that leads out into the next sphere of experience (galactic existence, 4-5-6D), and the one where a series of catastrophes lead to the current cycle / 3D grade paradigm going down and repeating. Extraterrestrials play a part in each of these scenarios. The latter of which involves the more negative, meaning those who would most certainly take advantage and impinge upon free will. The former of which involves a mix, but more-so those most aligned with our own center of gravity. When we reach this point in the cycle it is more important than anything to keep a steady, unblinking eye on ourself, the quality from which we move and motivate. This opportunity comes only once in a very great while.
