Can We “Handle the Truth” about a Paranormal Force that is in the “Belief Business”?

Introduction: It is my custom to repost many of my blogs on a six-month basis. In response to my post “Mission Rama: One of the most important contactee networks of the 20th Century”, a scientifically oriented respondent raised a series of challenging questions. These included the following:

1. Why is there such a paucity of hard evidence provided by groups like Rama which would include photos or videos or artifacts of some sort?
2.   Assuming the reality of the Rama’s contacts, how can anyone be sure that the information from non-humans is true?
3. Wouldn’t it be more helpful if proof were provided in the form of scientific knowledge that humanity has not yet discovered? The commenter also suggested that the philosophical information provided to Rama was of little importance.
4. This individual responding to the Rama story made a very important point by asking “Might not the intelligences interacting with experiencers be merely posing to be extraterrestrial?”

I could have responded to these pointed questions by saying that Rama had acquired  documentation. This included still photos and motion pictures that have been shown on Spanish language TV broadcasts in both Spain and Latin America. Unfortunately, the quest for “definitive proof” from this kind of evidence is always elusive. As far as the spiritual messages that Rama has received, if one is open to the possibility that the alleged ETs are here to “expand human consciousness” as my Rahma friend Enrique Villanueva maintains, then there is a great significance in the “philosophical” messages that contactees receive. 

I did not make the above replies but instead chose a different tact by offering this edited response:

‘NAME DELETED, Thanks for the comments whose answers might fill many chapters of a book. Unlike so many of my contactee brethren, I don’t uncritically accept the ET hypothesis. Two years ago, the FREE group published a chapter that focused on alleged UAP healings that Preston Dennett and I wrote. As a physician with over 40 years of clinical practice, I had no doubt that the patients we interviewed were telling the truth as they believed it to be. We documented healings that defy conventional explanations and involved the kind of “manipulations of space-time” that Dr. Vallee states is characteristic of the alleged ETs. If they can heal Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, hemorrhagic shock, lung cancer, thrombophlebitis in seconds of our time, then what is the limit of their powers?

You are looking for what I sought…., definitive proof. We are not allowed to obtain such evidence by deliberate design. The reasons for this prohibition we can only guess at. My guess is that The Others That Experiencers Now Call ET(TOTENCET) are an ancient paranormal force that has been with us, perhaps, forever. The paranormal investigator John Keel opened my eyes to this concept two decades ago. As the character played by Jack Nicholson says in “A Few Good Men,” in response to an interrogator’s demand, “I want the truth.” :
Nicholson: “YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!”

As the result of more than a three decades of investigations and research, I have seen glimmers of the truth and it has shaken me to the core. All the materialist medical science, that I strived for so long to master, has been trivialized compared to the awesome power that the “Others” wield. Scientific materialist methods will not give us answers as the highly paid and accomplished Skinwalker Ranch investigators found to their chagrin.  

Better than the scientific approach is the intelligence counterintelligence paradigm that Val Germann wrote about two decades ago. This is the model employed by Executive Branch intelligence agencies that carry out surveillance of the so-called Contact Experiencers. Better yet than this statist approach to the phenomenon is the one I fell into. It is the path of one who becomes a spiritual seeker while at the same time recognizes that these “Otherness”, as Keel has stated, ” are in the belief business.” The “Others” can and do shape one’s individual contact experience in such a way as to reinforce whatever notions you might have about them. ”

What if the so called ” Visitors” have not been “visiting us?” Perhaps they have been intimately involved with humanity not since the beginning of the modern UFO era that is generally described as the 1940s? What if their involvement goes back not centuries but say hundreds of thousands or millions of years? Reading John Keel and Vallee twenty-five years ago alerted me to this distinct probability. Then we must consider that they might have played a role in human evolution through genetic manipulation. If this is true, should they directly intervene again to save their creation from self-destruction? One answer, albeit a harsh one, is that if we are such vile creations that we are unable to stop wounding this planet, stop ceaselessly slaughtering one another, doom millions of children to misery when material abundance exists for all if fairly distributed, then maybe we are not worth saving.

In late 2022, the Consciousness and Contact Research Institute published a chapter I wrote on Human Initiated Contact Events (HICE).
